While planning for it, the Chinese Federation attack Ashford Acaademy and they are forced to stay inside the Clubhouse. Lelouch thought up a plan to defeat them. Lelouch's plan works at first but during the execution of the plan, Suzaku and Kallen's souls are taken in the 'Thousands-man vase' by the Chinese Federation leader.
