After a robbery at a safety deposit bank, Arthur withdraws his money and hides it in his lock up, getting Terry to guard it. But as Arthur leaves the bank, he is caught on TV talking to an old friend, Maltese Tony, who is wanted by a local gang boss.

The Wrong Goodbye

Arthur’s bank manager won't extend his already considerable overdraft, and his car lot, lock up and goods have been seized by the sheriff for non-payment. He contemplates retirement, but he hasn't paid National Insurance since 1956, so doesn't qualify for a state pension.
